I am a strong believer in an Efficient, Functional Government.

 As a 5th generation Marion County Resident, I have seen and heard a lot of  
 stories about this county. The 1st generation of my Hoosier family resided 
 near Riverside Park back when Benjamin Harrison was a U.S. Senator for 
 Indiana and then President.

 As for myself, I have always called Indianapolis my home. From growing up in  
 the Brightwood and Brookside neighborhoods to graduating from T.C. Howe 
 High School and Indiana University, I have seen this district evolve in many 
 different directions.  The values and loyalty that I have learned from Howe 
 H.S. carried over into my service in the U.S. Marine Corps. After fighting in 
 Iraq and retiring from the Marines in 2005, I am now back home in Indiana 
 and continuing my service in local government.

 This district could have such an impact in Washington, D.C., but we are  
 lacking the basic skills of leadership by example. Leading by example is a 
 unique trait that I have developed through the years with the Marines.  
 Every marine and sailor were important to me, from a small unit leader to the 
 acting 1st Sergeant of the company.  Being a high school wrestler and a high
 school assistant wrestling coach, I have learned the discipline of working 
 individually and as a team.

 No neighborhood is more important than any other neighborhood in the 
 district.  I am looking forward to seeing and listening to everyone in the
 7th district.
